Specially Thank

House of Kititto would likes to thank and give credits to people who had contributed, namely:

List of Valuable People

Frankie Tan

[field_links]

This guy is brilliant! He is our greatest mentor before we acquire the key to enter this house. We know Franky during his charity project: Connects 2 World Heritage Cities in Peninsular Malaysia, by riding a trishaw from Malacca to Penang, at the same time raise fund for 4 charitable body, in 6th June 2009.

He himself is established, in terms of personality, financially and even kindness, he has been life coaching us since we meet and being a moral supporter since we first had the idea to start a guesthouse. He didn't even think twice when Kent requested him to help for moving the furniture. He value this guesthouse as one of his son, and pay pretty much attention, too.

Frankie also is a photography lover, he sponsored one of his masterpiece titled "The Mother's Love" which portraits a female monkey breast feeding her baby in the thick mist, which taken in Mauritius.

Howard

[field_links]

We would surely say, "If there is no Howard, there will be no House Of Kititto!"

Howard is one of the pioneers who make Jalan Portugis get its fame, by setting up a first ever guesthouse here, namely Ringo's Foyer, which get their first listing in Lonely Planet in 2010. More and more tourists are visiting this place, and this actually ensured the business of House Of Kititto.

The premises where House Of Kititto currently located actually was belongs to Ringo's Foyer, thanks to Howard who give us chance to manage this unit, thus the beginnings started. He also sent many guest here whenever he faced with "full house" situations.

Joe

[field_links]

He's artistic, he started Calanthe Art Cafe in 2005, and he continued his art path to start Joe's Design in 2006.

When people who appreciate Art will always get inspired by artist's creations, just like us ::self smug::. Our guesthouse design, in many ways, is more or less influenced by the idea from Joe, some of the lamp shades hanging in our living and rooms are SPONSORED by Joe.

Mean time, this guy, who is also Malaccan, teach us one very important thing: "Present The Origin". This idea actually leading us to explorer more about our very own city and country, the result, this guest house is furnished with local products, arts, and designs. Even we are displaying some souvenirs collected along our trips overseas, in the guest house, but it will soon be replaced by Malaysian very own products.

Mr. Ang

[field_links]

Mr. Ang, or Soon is his first name, and wife (Gabby) is one of the pioneer who started the very first budget accommodation in China Town of Malacca, namely Sama-Sama Guesthouse. This was the place where Kent stayed for a fortnight upon arrival in Malacca the first time in 2005. That was before Monica & Kent got married.

Soon has given us a lot of guideline, almost every little detail, of "How to manage a guesthouse", and House of Kititto is following much of his footsteps. Meanwhile, Gabby, who return to Switzerland in March 2010, presented us some sarong and 2 candle holders, which became the first batch of decorative objects here.

He sold Sama-Sama Guesthouse in 2008, and later, he started a second hand bookstore in Jalan Kg. Pantai, which provides wide variety of good books in many language, till now.

Sebastian & Chihiro

[field_links]

They gave a lot of help for guiding us about western cultures, and what most Europeans' preferences and expectations when looking for an accommodation in Malaysia. This make House Of Kititto more International. Sebastian, a German guy, has given us a very strong moral support, and I can tell he really appreciate the idea of this guesthouse by looking in his eyes, and listening his tone, nothing's fake.

Chihiro, on the other hand, shared her views as a Japanese (Asian) about, doesn't talk much, but her skill of looking for information via Internet is really great. She's the "information digger" in the team, and she has many information about Malacca, which we never thought of before, which is useful for us.

This lovely couple are merely passers-by in House Of Kititto, but due to their experience of travelling at least 25 years (combined), their comments and suggestions mean a lot to us, it's PRICELESS!

Silke Koehler

[field_links]

She is our guest, our consultant, and also our 'family member'! During her first check-in, she felt staying here just like at home, and she even call Monica: "mama", we accepted her in this family.

Silke, a German girl, was amazing, she has given a great help during the expansion project of House of Kititto. She was so kind to share her expertise in business, accounting, and project management. She gave us a lot of ideas and guidance throughtout the planning stage of the project, from costing, sourcing, market plan, to rooms floor plan and decoration. She even roll up her sleeve for the cleaning part.

After she had spent time and effort to help House of Kititto, she continued her journey to pursue her dream - become a Great Teacher in Energy Work - Yoga and Reiki.

House of Kititto can countinuously giving better services, must attributed to Silke Koehler. She bring more pure energy in the house.

Thomas Lee

He is Kent's best companion throughout the whole journey for setting up House of Kititto .

He had been guiding me of the Market Study, Interior Decorations, and last but not least, a GOOD ADVERTISER for me, as he is also fascinated by the idea of this guest house, too.
